This Transmission Oil Cooler Control Valve is specifically designed for Ford Edge models from 2016 to 2018 that do not have a trailer package. The part regulates the flow of transmission oil to the cooler, thereby managing the transmission temperature. It replaces faulty or non-operational valves that could lead to overheating or inefficient cooling of the transmission oil. This is a genuine, brand new part in its original OEM manufacturer's packaging. It is the same part sold at new car dealerships and is not an aftermarket item.
Tools Needed: Socket Set, Flat-Head Screwdriver, Pliers
1. Locate the existing Transmission Oil Cooler Control Valve near the radiator.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector attached to the valve.
3. Remove the hose clamp connecting the valve to the transmission cooler line.
4. Remove the old valve.
5. Insert the new Transmission Oil Cooler Control Valve.
6. Secure the valve to the transmission cooler line with a hose clamp.
7. Reconnect the electrical connector.
