This is a genuine Volkswagen liftgate motion control sensor for the 2017-2026 Volkswagen Tiguan, 2021-2025 Volkswagen ID.4, 2017-2026 Audi Q7, 2017-2026 Audi SQ7, 2020-2024 Audi RSQ8, 2017-2024 Audi Q8, 2017-2024 Audi A4 Allroad, and 2017-2023 Audi A5 and S5 Coupe and Sportback models. The sensor detects motion like a footsweep and signals a module which then commands the liftgate or trunk to open.
This is a genuine Volkswagen OEM part that mounts at the liftgate, trunk lid, or tailgate location depending on vehicle body style. Compatible with vehicles equipped with power liftgate and foot-operated or keyless entry feature. Fits 2.0L Turbo, 3.0L Turbo, 3.0L V6 Turbo, 4.0L V8 Turbo, and Electric engines. Designed for Type 2 and Type 3 configurations depending on model, and for vehicles produced from 02/05/2018 onwards. Also fits vehicles without S-Line type or model in specific configurations.
