  1. Gather the necessary tools: jack, lug wrench, pliers.
  2. Locate the existing spare carrier and cable underneath your 2016-2020 Kia Sorento.
  3. Using the lug wrench, carefully loosen and remove the lug nuts securing the spare tire to the carrier.
  4. Lower the spare tire to the ground using the jack, and detach it from the carrier.
