That's why we recommend upgrading to the Genuine OEM 2018-2021 Ford Ecosport AWD Driver Side Front Steering Suspension Knuckle.

Installation Instructions:

Replacing the driver side front steering suspension knuckle on your 2018-2021 Ford Ecosport AWD with the Genuine New Knuckle (part number specific to your vehicle) is a job that requires intermediate automotive repair skill and specific tools.

Tools needed:

  • Jack and jack stands
  • Socket set
  • Torque wrench
  • Tie rod separator tool
  • Ball joint separator tool
  • Wheel bearing hub puller tool
  • Clean rags

Step-by-step instructions:

  1. Begin by safely raising and supporting your vehicle on jack stands.
  2. Remove the front wheel and tire assembly on the driver side.
  3. Use a tie rod separator tool to separate the tie rod end from the steering knuckle.
  4. Use a ball joint separator tool to separate the lower ball joint from the steering knuckle.

  6. Use a wheel bearing hub puller tool to carefully remove the wheel bearing and hub from the steering knuckle.
  7. Use a socket set to carefully remove the bolts that hold the old steering knuckle in place. Be sure to keep track of the bolts and any other hardware that is removed.
  8. Carefully remove the old steering knuckle from the vehicle and set it aside.
  9. Take the new Genuine Ford Knuckle and carefully align it with the mounting points on the vehicle.
  10. Insert the bolts that hold the new knuckle in place and tighten them with a torque wrench, ensuring that they are torqued to the manufacturer's specifications.
  11. Reinstall the wheel bearing and hub assembly onto the new steering knuckle using the wheel bearing hub puller tool.
  12. Reinstall the brake rotor and caliper assembly onto the new steering knuckle.
  13. Reattach the lower ball joint and tie rod end to the new steering knuckle using their respective separators.
  14. Test that the new driver side front steering suspension knuckle is securely attached and there is no looseness.
  15. Reinstall the front wheel and tire assembly.
  16. Lower the vehicle from the jack stands.
  17. Use a clean rag to wipe down the area to ensure that there is no dirt or debris on the new knuckle or surrounding components.
