4. Remove any screws holding the switch in place with the Phillips-head screwdriver.

5. Take out the faulty parking brake switch from the console.

6. Position the new parking brake control switch button in place and secure it with the previously removed screws.

7. Reconnect the electrical connector to the new switch until it clicks into place.

8. Realign the center console panel and press down firmly to snap it into its original position.
