The Sensor Output Shaft Speed (OSS) is a critical component in the transmission system of your 2012-2018 Ford Focus or Fiesta. Installation Instructions:
- Park the vehicle on a flat surface and set the parking brake.
- Locate the output shaft speed sensor. On the Ford Focus or Fiesta, it is typically located on the top of the transmission.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the sensor by pressing the tab and pulling it away from the sensor.
- Use a wrench or socket to remove the retaining bolt that holds the sensor in place.
- Gently remove the sensor from its mounting location.
- Install the new sensor in the same location, ensuring that it is fully seated and straight.
- Tighten the retaining bolt securely.
- Reconnect the electrical connector to the sensor by pushing it in until it clicks into place.
