2009-2020 Ford F-150 Passenger Side Outer Tie Rod

The 2009-2020 Ford F-150 Passenger Side Outer Tie Rod is a critical component of your vehicle's suspension system. Installation Instructions:

1. Raise the front of the vehicle and support it with jack stands.
2. Remove the wheel/tire assembly from the passenger side.
3. Using a wrench or pliers, remove the cotter pin from the castle nut on the tie rod end.
4. Use a socket and ratchet to loosen the castle nut on the tie rod end.
5. Use a tie rod end separator tool to separate the tie rod end from the steering knuckle.
6. Use a wrench or pliers to remove the retaining clip from the tie rod end.
7. Use a wrench or pliers to unscrew the tie rod end from the inner tie rod.
8. Remove the old tie rod end from the vehicle.
9. Screw the new tie rod end onto the inner tie rod and tighten it.
10. Install the retaining clip onto the new tie rod end.
11. Reconnect the tie rod end to the steering knuckle and tighten the castle nut to the specified torque value.
12. Install the cotter pin and bend the ends to prevent it from coming out.
13. Reinstall the wheel/tire assembly.
14. Lower the vehicle and torque the lug nuts to the specified value.
15. Test drive the vehicle and make sure the steering is straight and the vehicle tracks properly.
