The latch mechanism on the glove box is one of the most common problems on the 2012-2017 Chevrolet Sonic. The problem is caused by the latch breaking... either at the handle, or at the latch. The result is the door not being able to close, or not being able to open. Stop driving around town with your glove box open, or having hit your passenger's knees every time you hit a bump. Luckily the fix is easy and a relatively inexpensive option.

Installation Instructions:

1. Begin by opening the glove box on your 2012-2017 Chevrolet Sonic.

2. Locate the existing glove box latch handle. This is typically located on the right-hand side of the glove box.

3. Carefully remove the existing latch handle by gently prying it out of its housing.

4. Take the new 2012-2017 Chevrolet Sonic Black Glove Box Latch Handle GM and carefully align it with the housing where the old handle was removed.

5. Gently press the new latch handle into place until it snaps securely into the housing.

6. Test the new glove box latch handle to ensure that it is functioning properly.
