Part Details And Fitment

Have a low Coolant indicator on your dash, even when the coolant tank is full?

2013-2018 Dodge Rams are fantastic trucks. There is just one annoyance that they are all susceptible to.

After a few years, the coolant level sensor for the tank goes bad. When this happens you get a light or a message on your dash that won't go away that says low coolant level.

You can just ignore it, or you can fix it fast and easily with a new coolant level sensor.

See How to find the Sensor in this video.

To replace the radiator coolant reservoir tank level sensor on a 2013-2018 Ram 6.7 Diesel with a new genuine part, you can follow these steps:

  1. Locate the coolant reservoir tank level sensor on the top of the coolant reservoir tank, which is typically located near the front of the engine compartment on the passenger side.

  2. Use a small flathead screwdriver or plastic prying tool to carefully pry off the electrical connector from the old sensor. Take care not to damage any of the wires or connectors.

  3. Use a socket wrench or pliers to carefully remove the old sensor from the coolant reservoir tank. Take care not to damage the tank or any of the surrounding components.

  4. Inspect the tank and the surrounding components for any damage or wear. If necessary, repair or replace any damaged components before installing the new sensor.

  5. Take the new genuine coolant reservoir tank level sensor and align it with the mounting hole on the coolant reservoir tank, making sure it is the correct size and shape for your Ram 6.7 Diesel.

  6. Insert the new sensor into the mounting hole and tighten it securely with a socket wrench or pliers.

  7. Reconnect the electrical connector to the new sensor, making sure it clicks securely into place.

  8. Test the new sensor by checking the coolant level in the reservoir tank and making sure the sensor is providing accurate readings.

That's it! Your new genuine radiator coolant reservoir tank level sensor for your Ram 6.7 Diesel should now be installed and providing reliable readings of your coolant level.
