2007-2013 Acadia or Traverse How To Fix Tail Gate Not Opening

If you are the owner of a 2007 up to 2013 GMC Acadia or Chevrolet Traverse, You may have (or will) Experience and issue with the tail gate release button.

The original problem is that the button ceases to function, gets sticky, or starts to fall apart.

The issue is that the rubber and plastic begin to disintegrate after a few years of heat and cold climate changes.

When this happens, it is very hard and takes many tries to open your tail gate.

At this point you will need a new switch, Luckily these are pretty cheap, and not too hard to fix,

The new switches are a little better, and should last much longer than the. originals.

You can find more information and buy a new switch here.
