This Genuine OEM Passenger Side Dash Airbag SRS Inflator Module, part number JL1Z-78044A74-A, is a brand new part that comes in the original manufacturer's packaging, and is the same part sold at new car dealerships. This part is not aftermarket. Its main function is to deploy the airbag in the passenger side dash in the event of a collision. Installation Instructions:
The skill level required to replace this part is intermediate. The job can be completed in about 1 hour. The following tools are needed: a socket wrench set, a flathead screwdriver, and a torque wrench.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait at least 10 minutes before beginning work.
- Locate the passenger side dash airbag module and remove the screws or bolts that secure it.
- Disconnect the wiring harness from the airbag module and carefully remove the module from the dash.
- Install the new airbag module and reconnect the wiring harness.
- Secure the new module in place with the screws or bolts that were removed earlier, using a torque wrench to ensure they are tightened to the proper specifications.
- Reconnect the negative battery cable.

Believe it or not, this is super important! Don't throw away the packaging. Manufacturers won't accept returns on a part without the genuine OEM Packaging, so we won't be able to credit you. (Even if the part is brand new with no packaging, we would have to return it to you).

You have installed or attempted to install or disassemble the part
You have painted the part.
You have broken the part.
You have lost the original packaging.
You have gotten the part wet, or the part has greasy fingerprints.
