The passenger side reading lamp on your 2011-2019 Ford Explorer is an essential component for providing ambient lighting inside the vehicle.A malfunctioning or faulty reading lamp can cause inconvenience and safety hazards, making it difficult to see while driving at night or in low-light conditions.
Installation Instructions:
- Start by disconnecting the negative battery cable to prevent any electrical shocks.
- Locate the passenger side reading lamp on the headliner above the sunroof.
- Remove the reading lamp assembly by gently prying it out with a trim removal tool or a flat-head screwdriver. Be careful not to damage the headliner or the wiring harness while removing it.
- Disconnect the wiring harness by pressing the tab on the connector and pulling it out.
- Install the new reading lamp assembly by plugging in the wiring harness and pushing the assembly into place until it snaps in securely.
- Reconnect the negative battery cable and test the new reading lamp to make sure it is working properly.
