This is a driver door lock cylinder with key and wiring for the Acura MDX model years 2007-2013. It is a genuine Acura part, which means it is an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) part, manufactured and supplied by Acura.
The package includes a new cylinder-matched random key. However, if you want all the keys to match, you can have a locksmith recode it for you. This lock cylinder is responsible for locking and unlocking the driver side door of the vehicle and the wiring is used to connect the lock cylinder to the vehicles electrical system.
To replace the driver door lock cylinder with a new genuine lock cylinder on a 2007-2013 Acura MDX, you can follow these steps:

Open the driver door of your Acura MDX and locate the lock cylinder. It should be located on the door panel, near the handle.

Use a flathead screwdriver or a trim removal tool to carefully pry off the door panel, starting at the bottom and working your way up. There may be screws that need to be removed first, so consult your vehicle manual for specific instructions.

Once the door panel is removed, locate the wiring harness that connects to the lock cylinder. Disconnect the wiring harness and remove any other components that may be attached to the lock cylinder.

Use a socket wrench to loosen and remove the bolts that secure the old lock cylinder to the door panel.

Once the bolts are removed, carefully lift the old lock cylinder out of the door panel.

Take the new genuine driver door lock cylinder and position it in place, aligning it with the mounting holes and any other components that need to be attached to it.

Insert the mounting bolts into the new lock cylinder and tighten them securely with a socket wrench.

Reattach any components that were removed, such as the wiring harness, and connect it to the new lock cylinder.

Reattach the door panel by aligning the clips on the panel with the openings on the door frame. Press the panel firmly into place until the clips snap securely.

Test the new lock cylinder by inserting the key and checking that it turns smoothly and unlocks the door.
