Installation Instructions
The tools needed for this job include a socket wrench and a flat-head screwdriver. The skill level needed to complete this job is intermediate. The following steps should be taken to replace the old driver side black outside door handle with the new one:
- Remove the door panel from the driver side door.
- Locate the two bolts that hold the old outside door handle in place.
- Using the socket wrench, remove the two bolts and set them aside.
- Using the flat-head screwdriver, gently pry the old outside door handle away from the vehicle.
- Disconnect the rod and the power lock connector from the old outside door handle.
- Connect the rod and the power lock connector to the new outside door handle.
- Insert the new outside door handle into the vehicle and secure it in place using the two bolts.
- Reattach the door panel to the driver side door.
The job should take approximately 60-90 minutes to complete.
