Installation Instructions:
Begin by draining the coolant from your Ford Ranger's cooling system. This can be done by opening the radiator drain valve and allowing the coolant to flow into a drain pan.
Once the coolant has drained, locate the water pump coolant hose inlet tube on the engine block. This is the tube that the water pump hose attaches to.
Use a wrench to loosen and remove the bolts that hold the old inlet tube in place.
Carefully remove the old inlet tube from the engine block. Be sure to clean any debris or old gasket material from the mating surface on the engine block.
Take the new genuine Ford water pump coolant hose inlet tube and insert it into the mounting location on the engine block. Make sure it is seated properly.
Insert the mounting bolts and tighten them securely with a wrench.
Re-fill the cooling system with the appropriate type and amount of coolant.
