Installation Instructions:

Before starting, ensure that the vehicle is parked on a flat and stable surface, and all occupants have vacated the area.

Locate the center dash A/C heat vent on your 1996-2002 Toyota 4Runner. It is typically located in the center of the dashboard, above the radio.

Using a flat-head screwdriver or a plastic trim removal tool, gently pry off the old vent cover. Be careful not to damage the surrounding plastic or scratch the surface of your car.

Once the old cover has been removed, unplug any electrical connectors that are attached to the old vent. Take note of their orientation and location for future reference.

Take the new genuine Toyota center dash A/C heat vent and attach any electrical connectors that were removed from the old vent.

Align the new vent with the opening in the dashboard and press it into place until it clicks.

Test the A/C and heat functions to make sure they blow air through the new vent.

Once you are satisfied with the installation, replace any trim pieces that were removed and clean up any debris.
