Installation Instructions

Socket Set
Wrench Set
Transmission Jack
Fluid Catch Pan
Steps:
1. Park the Lincoln Aviator on a level surface and turn off the ignition.
2. Using a socket set, remove the underbody protection or shield to access the transmission.
3. Position the fluid catch pan beneath the transmission to catch any fluid that might leak during the process.
4. Using a socket set and wrench, disconnect the drive shaft from the transmission output shaft.
5. Support the transmission with the transmission jack.
6. Carefully remove the old output shaft and gear from the transmission.
7. Install the new Genuine OEM transmission output shaft and gear (L1MZ-7060-E) into the transmission.
8. Reconnect the drive shaft to the new transmission output shaft and tighten securely with the socket set and wrench.
9. Remove the transmission jack and ensure everything is securely in place.
10. Refill any lost transmission fluid according to the vehicle manufacturer's specifications.
11. Replace the underbody protection or shield using the socket set.
12. Start the vehicle and check for any abnormal noises or vibrations.
Duration: This task usually takes about 3-4 hours.
